The project was founded to provide a safe and Christ-centered home for children who were orphaned or displaced, particularly those affected by the AIDS epidemic in East Africa.
Through this campaign, Yohe uses her international gospel music ministry as a platform to raise awareness, financial support, and long-term partnerships that sustain the orphanage and its programs. Her vision extends beyond simple charity; the goal is to give children stability, education, and spiritual guidance so they can grow into leaders who will positively influence their communities.
The New Destiny for Children Ministry
The orphanage was established as part of Vicki Yohe Ministries and became one of the central missions connected to her work as a worship leader and recording artist. While traveling globally to minister in churches and conferences, Yohe regularly shares the story of the children and encourages audiences to participate in supporting the ministry.
The home was designed to be more than a shelter. The vision was to create an environment where children could experience family, receive education, and live in dignity. Yohe emphasized providing quality living conditions, clothing, meals, and a nurturing spiritual environment so the children could feel valued and hopeful about their future.
